THE WAITING TIME IN BANGKOK AIRPORT TO PASS IMMIGRATION CONTROL...
Thailand is a little victim of its success and the increase in the number of visitors also results in an increase in the waiting time for immigration (also called customs)...
In fact this delay is variable, it depends on the days and hours and there is no real truth.
So far plan wide (especially if you have to take a domestic flight after the passage of immigration) IE:
-30mn of delay of your plane
-30 MN Once the plane stopped and your arrival to immigration
-45 at 90mn to pass immigration
If you have to resume another domestic flight plan between 30mn and 1h to do your Chek in (there are very often big queue with large groups of Chinese...)
You then have to count 30mn to pass control boarding and win your door.
The strict minimum if your plane is on time is between 2h and 2:30 but this without any delay... plan rather wider.
Tip:
There are two immigrating entries.
According to the arrival gate immigration will be to your right or to your left.
Between the two there is the exit V.I. P
If you see that the queue is long where you arrive, go to the other entrance, it is close and often there is the queue to one but not to the other because the big planes rarely arrive at the same time...
Also, if your domestic flight is too close and you cannot have it and your destination is an international airport (Chiang Mai, Phuket, Udon Thani etc...), ask a hostess to get you to avoid customs and go directly to take Your flight, she will accompany you and will pass you, you will make your transition to immigration on your arrival and it'll be much shorter waiting...
You will never wait for your suitcases because when you have passed the immigration there will already be a good time that they loop on the mat...
If somebody wait you at the exit, usually it is always at Gate 3.
When you get out of the lobby where you picked up your luggage you will see in front of you the exit doors, go up to Gate 3 it's all right.... very simple.
