WATCH OUT FOR BANNED IN THAILAND ?

We will never say it enough but some things are banned in Thailand and it can cost very very much.
Thursday afternoon 6 retired braves were arrested in Phuket for fishing 6 parrot fish (protected species)...
They were taken to the police station for a lawsuit.
The penalty is 100,000 baths (more or less 2600 euros) or 1 year in prison (or both...)
I also want to go back to ivory.
Import and export are totally banned in Thailand (as in Europe by the way) and penalties can go up to 10 years in prison + a fine of 4 times the value of the object or both (and that is very well for our friends the Elephants...)
Certainly if you have a little gem in ivory bought 1000 baht you will not have 10 years in jail but a sharp fine, obviously confiscation and you will miss your plane (because it is at the customs that it will catch you) considering that you will spend several hours at Post...
Recently the adventure arrived at a Dutch tourist... 8 hours at the station, 10,000 baht of fine and a plane ticket lost...and he was lucky because previous experiences resulted in even bigger problems...
Last thing: the electronic cigarette.
I see many posts from people who say they have never had a problem.
Yes it is true though.... not seen not taken but if you are taken the price to pay is very very expensive.... breathe the good air of the southern beaches or the rice paddies of the North and pass you your electronic cigarette, you will gain at all times...
On this... good holiday...
