WHAT REMEDY AGAINST SUNBURN IN THAILAND (and elsewhere...)
This question comes back often but first of all, a council.
Thailand and its beaches are wonderful, the sun shines there but beware the U. V index is much higher than in Europe, remember that we are near the equator.
The Thai people bathe most of the time dressed, with a T shirt and a hat or a cap because... they know their country and it is not only for modesty.
In prevention, use very high-index sunscreen, easily found everywhere.
If unfortunately the sunburn is there you can use a miracle cure from a local plant that many know: ALOE VERA.
This little cactus grows everywhere in Thailand and has fantastic virtues. It is used to heal when it is cut but also for sunburn where the effect is almost miraculous.
I have two big pots in my garden....
You will find Aloe Vera gel everywhere and especially in the 7 Eleven open 24 hours, for a price of more or less 2.5 euros.
It is enough to brush the sunburn and the soothing effect is almost instantaneous.
Do not forget to drink a lot because a sunburn dehydrates...
That is... but the best thing is to protect yourself... as always.
Happy holidays...
