KIDS IN TRIBES VILLAGES...A GREAT EXPERIENCE...
Visiting the tribal villages near Mae Salong is always an unforgettable experience and full of happiness.
In is not for us any pity, these peoples are proud and rightfully so because their culture is ancestral and deserves to be respected.
They have well-anchored rites and customs and that is very well;
When we visit them we do not forget, for the children, to bring them milk briquettes and other treats of which they are not customary.
These people live on little things and children are not accustomed to receiving gifts.
We respect them in the deepest of ourselves and we know that our gifts are not perceived as alms but simply the mere fact of giving by pleasure, by humanity and to allow children to have a smile a little bigger than usual even if Their smile is spontaneous.
We meet in these villages of course children, in or outside the school, with their teacher or with their family and everyone understands that we are there to give them joy and not to consider them as "things" to take pictures for foreigners the photo albums of foreigners in bad authenticity.
Besides, we don't go there with everyone, we take care before we make sure that the people we take are ready to understand their ethnicity and to admit their culture, respect and love it.
There are too many villages "museums" and we do not want to enter this non-virtuous circle of tourism at all costs and especially as long as it reports...
Witnesses of the past, witnesses of a culture, they are the symbol of a true humanity and a true culture, so respect this and love them for what they are... peoples of understanding and love, sharing and openness... contrary to what some believe... unfortunately....
